BEYOND EUROPE

BSdV is the winner for the two-year period 2020-2022 of the Erasmus + KA107 International Credit Mobility Call, for the mobility of students, teachers and trainees outside the European Union.
In this context, the Consortium will carry out mobility projects aimed at creating new interdisciplinary scenarios and works between Dance, Music and Design with Higher Artistic Training Institutes of two extra-European nations: Mali and Georgia.

MALI:

The Malian Partner Institute is the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers Multimédia Balla Fasséké Kouyaté (CAMM BFK) in Bamako, Higher Education Institute naturally ideal for the design and implementation of interdisciplinary projects, thanks to the coexistence within it of various Departments dedicated to the study of artistic disciplines including Dance, Music and Mutimedia Design.
The cooperation project between Body Sound DiVision and CAMM BFK, thanks to the previous collaboration between the National Dance Academy and the Malian Partner, has as its primary objective the realization of a wide-ranging exchange in terms of modernization, internationalization and growth through comparison and collaboration between all 4 Institutes involved. Specifically, and in line with the very nature of Erasmus Credit Mobility, BSdV proposes to contribute substantially to the internationalization, modernization and expansion of the curricula of the Malian Institute, transferring specific skills of each artistic sector to CAMM BFK represented by the members of the Consortium, allowing the formation of a trained and competitive local teaching staff, which in turn can train the new generations in a way that adheres to the current state of the art. For their part, the BSdV Partners will benefit from the development of transversal and intercultural skills both of all the direct participants and of the student and teacher community of all the institutions involved, they will be able to enrich and diversify the educational offer of the 3 Italian Institutes and will contribute to greater circulation of knowledge between Europe and Africa, allowing them to better adhere to the rapid and continuous socio-cultural changes of our days.

The calls for participation addressed to teachers and trainees of Saint Louis, AND and ISIA Rome, who want to participate in the BSdV Consortium’s exchange initiatives with Mali will be published in the month of November 2020 on this page and on the dedicated pages the internationalization of the 3 partner institutes of the Consortium.

GEORGIA:

In Georgia the BSdV Consortium will collaborate with two Higher Artistic Institutes both located in the beautiful city of Tbilisi:

– the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire (TSC), already a solid long-term Erasmus partner of Saint Louis College of Music, in collaboration with which it has already given life to the jazz festival of young talents “Minus One … Italian Jazz on the Road of Tbilisi”

the Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film Georgia State University (TAFU), which thanks to its Dance and Multimedia departments is an essential Partner to guarantee the multidisciplinary nature of the Cooperation, adding the fundamental component of Cinematography, pivot around which the entire Project will focus.

The primary target of the Project is therefore the development and the international circulation of multidisciplinary activities, with possible mutual applicability of the artistic sectors, placing the teachings in close professionalizing practical interrelation and deepening, at national and international level, the possible definition of new or specific transversal professional skills and related possible professional positioning in the international job market (such as: designer of new technologies applied to dance and / or music, musician for dance and / or media design products, multimedia experts applied to performing art).

BSdV also aims to maximize the interdisciplinary impacts of Cooperation in terms of modernization and breadth of teaching, and above all in terms of reaching diversified and expanded stakeholders and audiences, exploring the multidisciplinary areas of the staging and the stage space and helping to create the modern technological artist, to enrich the dramaturgical narration with multimedia programs such as video mapping.
